“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters…”  Isaiah 55:1

The Well, Women’s Ministry at the Crossing, is a place where women of every age and every stage of life can develop their relationship with Jesus Christ and build connections with other women.  You can dig deep as you explore and discover all the plans God has for you, drink deep as we worship, laugh and learn together!

Our deepest desire is for every woman to experience God in a real and personal way, to be transformed into the very best version of herself and to find acceptance in community with other women.

Come experience community with us, find refreshment for your spirit and enjoy a gathering place on your journey with Christ.

Little Nagging Questions

October 29, 2009

You ever have that feeling when someone asks you a question and you can’t quite put into words what you want to say?  But at 3am you wake up with the perfect witty answer?  Tuesday morning I was asked a simple question by a dear person.  This sweet lady simply asked me “So, what are you getting out of the study so far?” and for a rare moment, I was speechless!  I couldn’t give her an answer right then, other than I was enjoying the study. The question kept nagging at me the rest of the day. Yes, I am enjoying the study, but I should be getting something from it, something new that God wants me to learn.  After much thought this is what I decided: I know what is being taught.  I’ve been in church since I was a baby, so these concepts of Transformation, Grace and Faith are not new to me.  With that said, I have never actually personalized them the way that we are being encouraged to do. Day one of Grace has a line on the second page asking how you think God feels about you.  I put two x’s on that line. One is at “Crazy About Me” because I know that He is, I have been told that God loves me my entire life.  The second x is on “Likes Me Somewhat” because that is how I act.  What my brain knows isn’t quite making it to my heart or actions. I have never looked at these basic truths like this, in such a  personal way, so rich, so full of God’s love, that all of what He promises is just for me!  It has made me sit back in awe of how awesome God is and how much He truly values me as one of His children.

So what am I getting from this study so far?  Those x’s are getting closer together.  These beautiful devotions are taking what my head knows and helping me move it to my heart, bringing me closer to understanding just how much God loves little ole me and causing me to fall just that much more in love with Him!

Now ladies, your turn!  What are YOU getting out of this study so far?

Gotta Love Them!

October 5, 2009

October is Pastor appreciation Month!!  The tireless pastoral staff at the Crossing does so much for all of us all year long, lets not forget to tell them “Thank You!” this month.  Send an email, an e-card, a bunch of flowers with a singing telegram.  Bring goodies to the church….just remember, most of the pastors take Friday off.  Many of our fearless leaders have children, offers to babysit are always a good way to say how much we love our pastors.

And never forget our very own leader, Reiko.  We love you and appreciate everything you do, especially that sweet smile you always have for all of us women!
